Eczema Skin Care

Also known as dermatitis, Eczema refers to a group of skin disorders that can affect folks of all ages. It has been estimated that in the United States alone, one in five of all school age children have skin eczema while around one in twelve of adults suffer from the condition.

There are several forms of the disorder ranging from mild to severe. In its milder form, the skin is dry and itchy while in cases that are more chronic, the skin becomes extremely sore, inflamed and may even bleed.

Although there is no known cure for the condition, eczema treatments such as emollients to improve skin hydration and topical steroid creams can successfully reduce inflammation. However, sufferers will always be predisposed to flare-ups and proper skincare is all the more important.
